Dr. Qiaofu Zhang
Dr. Qiaofu Zhang is an assistant professor in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (MTE) at The University of Alabama, joining in August 2023. Before that, he was a materials design engineering and later a senior materials design engineer at QuesTek Innovations LLC since 2017. He had his PhD study at the Ohio State University under supervising of Prof. J-C Zhao in 2017. His research focuses on ICME modeling and ICME-based materials development for Ni-, Al-, Cu-, and HEA alloys, as well as ceramic -metal (cermet) composites, and Additive Manufacturing (AM) of these materials.
